ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
Overall objective: To identify the strengths and the challenges for a knowledge and innovation driven growth in Sweden. Case study: Uppsala.
Overall theme: Knowledge-based growth! How can Europe, Sweden and Uppsala work proactively to promote a prosperous I-conomy?
Meeting culture: Structured interaction between speakers, the panel and the audience! An expert panel will act as the bridge between the morning and afternoon sessions by linking the initial dialogue on bottlenecks in the current innovation systems with the following policy discussions. An audience response system will also be used.
Target group: Decision-makers at national, regional and local level in Sweden and abroad. Representatives from both the public and the private sector. Opinion builders. Practitioners / Inventors.
Organizers: STUNS (the Foundation for Collaboration between the Universities in Uppsala, the Business sector and Public organizations) and the national IVA-project (supported by the Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems, the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth and the Federation of Swedish Enterprises).
